On the plus side, yes. Mushroom grass doesn't get corrupted, though mud near the corruption (or crimson) will still turn to dirt. On the minus side, spreading it in any useful way is a royal pain. In a normal playthrough, the only way to build an initial buffer of mushroom is to plant Mushroom Seeds on mud and let it spread.. Terraria corruption spread
